{"id":44,"date":"2015-05-08T02:16:11","date_gmt":"2015-05-08T02:16:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pparfranklin.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=44"},"modified":"2015-05-08T02:16:11","modified_gmt":"2015-05-08T02:16:11","slug":"about-ppar","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.pparfranklin.com\/wordpress\/about-ppar\/","title":{"rendered":"About PPAR"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"page\" title=\"Page 6\">\n<div class=\"section\">\n<div class=\"layoutArea\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<h2>PPAR Goals<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Be advocates for animals . . . speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.<\/li>\n<li>Protect animals from suffering, cruelty, abuse, abandonment and neglect.<\/li>\n<li>Sponsor Humane Society Police Officer to prevent cruelty to animals and educate on the proper care of animals.<\/li>\n<li>Promote the spaying and neutering of all companion animals to reduce animal overpopulation and the senseless death of animals whose only crime is being unwanted.<\/li>\n<li>Offer low-cost spay\/neuter program (subsidizing when available) &amp; financial assistance for veterinary expenses in hardship cases.<\/li>\n<li>Partner with breed rescue and other humane organizations to place as many animals as possible.<\/li>\n<li>Provide adoption programs for animals in need of placement in caring, forever homes.<\/li>\n<li>Champion feral cat trap neuter and release programs.<\/li>\n<li>Supply pet food and other needed supplies (housing, etc.) to assist owners with financial difficulties in caring for animals.<\/li>\n<li>Create Humane Education, including programs in conjunction with public schools, service organization and community groups.<\/li>\n<li>Develop Wags-on-Wheels program (pet-assisted therapy) for senior or handicapped citizens in nursing homes, and children or adults in hospitals.<\/li>\n<li>Support legislation that is favorable to animals.<\/li>\n<li>Nurture the human\/animal bond, recognizing that it greatly enriches those lives involved<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Five year plan<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Feral Cat Sanctuary<\/li>\n<li>Unadoptable Dog Sanctuary<\/li>\n<li>Store Front and Spay Neuter Clinic<\/li>\n<li>Dog Park and Training Facility<\/li>\n<li>Feral Cat Colony Management Program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>PPAR Goals Be advocates for animals . . . speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
