Process<\/h3>\n

Because we strive to ensure our rescued pets do not get returned, we provide a thorough and comprehensive adoption process so that their adoptive home is their forever home.\u00a0 Adopters are screened for suitability based upon the needs of the individual animal, and home requirements are based on the needs of that particular animal.\u00a0 Some animals may need a fenced yard, or to be an only pet and we communicate those needs with you during the interview process.\u00a0 After you application is approved, and you meet your new pet, our adoption counselors continue to follow up with you to ensure the animal is adjusting and you are happy with your pet.\u00a0 We offer conditional adoptions for all adoptions and refund adoption fees if the animal does not work out in your home.<\/p>\n

Requirements<\/h3>\n

Interested adopters complete an adoption application and send it to us in email.\u00a0 We review your application, check your references and then arrange a home visit for you to meet the pet you are interested in.\u00a0 All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption (we practice pediatric spay\/neuters and there is NO exception to this policy<\/strong>).\u00a0 Cats are tested for feline leukemia\/FIV\/heartworm, given viral vaccinations, dewormed, and altered.\u00a0 Dogs are tested for heartworm and Lyme disease (treated if necessary), given viral vaccinations, dewormed, altered, and microchipped.<\/p>\n
